“My journal is where my soul exhales.” – LSW

There are things the body can’t say out loud… but the page always listens.
*snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap* Read that AGAIN. Please and Thank you…
I’m a sucker for a good journal. ✨
Sometimes, nourishment isn’t a warm meal or a soft blanket—it’s letting the words finally fall out of you. No filter. No perfection. Just truth. The Ugliest Truths… And the Softest Wishes.
Journaling has always been my go to. I will advocate ALL DAY for anyone to journal. No matter the experience. No matter the emotion.
Write. It. Out.
Talk. It. Out.
I have different versions of journals for different moods and moments. For example, when I may not be in the mood to write, I use my voice memo journal. I talk. And when when I started doing this method of journaling, I evolved.
I started hearing me. And seeing me. And loving me. And understanding me. I became my own best friend.
“Writing is where I meet myself without judgment—and choose to love her anyway.” – LSW

Journaling is one of the most accessible, healing, and deeply personal practices we can offer ourselves. Not as a task, but as a tender form of self-nourishment—an act of seeing, hearing, and holding yourself on the page.
It’s you giving yourself time and space. It’s you giving you a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent to. Journaling is more than “Dear Diary..”
✨ Why Journaling Heals
Your journal becomes:
• A mirror for reflection
• A container for release
• A witness to your growth
• A medicine for the heart and nervous system
• A portal to your inner voice
When you write, and/or speak, without judgment, something sacred happens. You stop performing. You let the mask fall. And the truest parts of you rise to the surface—not for correction, but for care.
You see who you are. You see your pain. You witness your gains. You experience your losses and show up to recover your strength.
Journaling is one of my favorite ways to release and acknowledge my blessings and lessons and AGAIN I advocate for you to begin your own journaling journey, my friend.
🌿 Journaling as a Nourishment Ritual
Set aside 5–10 minutes. Light a candle. Put on soft music if you like. (I love a good LO-FI mix.) Let this be a sacred moment between you and you.
Try these prompts:
• What am I holding in my body today?
• Where do I feel empty… and what could help fill me?
• What do I need more of? What do I need less of?
• If I could give myself one kind word today, what would it be?
• What would my inner child ask me for in this moment?
You don’t need to answer all of them. One is enough. Your truth doesn’t need a paragraph—it just needs a place to land. It’s time to create space for you. Your paradise in the sand.
✍🏾 Don’t Worry About Writing Pretty
Let it be messy. Let it be soft. Let it contradict itself. Let it not make sense. Let it be a place to vent.
Let it hold memories. Let it cherish the little things. Let it document confusion. All of life’s many illusions.
This is not about productivity. This is presence.
This is nourishment in its purest form:
You. Showing up. For you. No Mask On.
